Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chopped red velvet cake
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreos

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract, red food coloring, and cocoa powder.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, buttermilk, vinegar, and baking soda.
  6. Gently fold the red velvet cake mixture into the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Pour half of the cream cheese mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with crushed Oreos.
  8. Pour the remaining cream cheese mixture over the Oreos.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
  10. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
