- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a medium bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and milk until just combined.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Serve immediately with fruit, graham crackers, or pretzels.
Notes
- To make the flour safe to eat, microwave the measured flour in a microwave-safe bowl on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds, stirring halfway through. Let it cool before using.
- For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
