- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard in a medium saucepan.
- Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the sauce simmers.
- Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let it cool before serving or storing.
Notes
- This sauce thickens as it cools.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
