Description
A cool and simple yogurt dip with cucumber and mint, perfect for hot weather.
Ingredients

- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 medium cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
- 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon water (optional, for thinning)
Instructions
- Grate the cucumber and press out any excess water using a clean cloth or paper towels.
- In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, grated cucumber, chopped mint, roasted cumin powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir all ingredients together until well combined.
- If the raita is too thick, add one teaspoon of water at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a tangier flavor, use Greek yogurt.
- You can add a small pinch of sugar if your yogurt is very sour.
