A straightforward recipe for crispy baked chicken using a coating mix.

- 1 package Shake ‘N Bake coating mix
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces (thighs or breasts)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Lightly coat the chicken pieces with vegetable oil.
- Place the coating mix in a shallow dish.
- Dredge each oiled chicken piece in the coating mix, pressing firmly to adhere the coating.
- Place the coated chicken pieces skin-side up in a baking pan. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the coating is crisp.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use any cut of chicken you prefer.
- For extra crispiness, place a wire rack inside the baking pan before adding the chicken.
