Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are set but the cookies are not browned.
