Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub the chicken thighs with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overlap.
  4. Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 18 minutes.
  5. Flip the chicken thighs over.
  6. Brush the top side generously with barbecue sauce.
  7. Continue to air fry at 380°F (195°C) for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For crispier skin, you can increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
