Simple recipe for cooking flavorful BBQ chicken thighs in an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Rub the chicken thighs with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overlap.
- Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 18 minutes.
- Flip the chicken thighs over.
- Brush the top side generously with barbecue sauce.
- Continue to air fry at 380°F (195°C) for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For crispier skin, you can increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Use your favorite brand of barbecue sauce.
