- 1.5 lbs ground turkey
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined; do not overmix.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.
- Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the burgers for 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the juices run clear.
- Remove from the skillet and serve immediately.
Notes
- Serve these burgers wrapped in large lettuce leaves instead of traditional buns to keep them Whole30 compliant.
- For extra flavor, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of lime zest to the meat mixture.
