Quick and easy Rice Krispie treats flavored with Thai tea.

- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 package (10 ounces) marshmallows
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons Thai tea mix (loose leaf or strong brewed concentrate)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Lightly grease a 9×13 inch pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
- Add the Thai tea mix to the melted butter and stir for 1 minute to infuse the flavor.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture. Stir quickly until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan using a buttered spatula or wax paper.
- Let the treats cool completely, about 1 hour, before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a stronger tea flavor, steep the Thai tea mix in the melted butter for 5 minutes before straining out the leaves before adding marshmallows.
- If you use brewed Thai tea concentrate instead of loose leaf, reduce the butter slightly or expect a stickier mixture.
