Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Dice the tomatoes and place them in a medium bowl.
  2. Finely chop the white onion and add it to the bowl.
  3. Mince the seeded jalapeño and add it to the mixture.
  4. Chop the cilantro and combine it with the vegetables.
  5. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the ingredients.
  6. Sprinkle with salt.
  7. Stir everything together gently until combined.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For less heat, remove all seeds and white pith from the jalapeño.
