Ingredients

- 3 medium ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Dice the tomatoes and place them in a medium bowl.
- Finely chop the white onion and add it to the bowl.
- Mince the seeded jalapeño and add it to the mixture.
- Chop the cilantro and combine it with the vegetables.
- Squeeze the juice of one lime over the ingredients.
- Sprinkle with salt.
- Stir everything together gently until combined.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For less heat, remove all seeds and white pith from the jalapeño.
- Adjust salt to your taste preference.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, pulse the ingredients briefly in a food processor instead of chopping.
