Description

A simple dip combining sun-dried tomatoes, olive oil, and herbs for serving with bread.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sun dried tomatoes packed in oil, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the chopped sun dried tomatoes and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  2. Pour the olive oil over the tomatoes and garlic.
  3. Stir in the dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Mix all ingredients together well.
  5. Let the dip sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to combine.
