  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (for frosting)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 1/4 cup milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. A toothpick inserted near the center should come out with moist crumbs attached.
  8. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  9. To make the frosting, beat together the peanut butter and 1/2 cup butter until smooth.
  10. Gradually add the powdered sugar and milk, beating until the frosting is light and spreadable.
  11. Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled brownies.
  12. Cut into squares before serving.
