Description

Simple recipe for rich, fudgy brownies studded with Oreo cookies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir the sugar into the melted butter.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
  8. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. A toothpick inserted near the center should come out with moist crumbs attached, not wet batter.
  10. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For fudgier brownies, reduce the flour to 1/3 cup.
  • You can press a few whole Oreos onto the top of the batter before baking for decoration.
  • Store cooled brownies in an airtight container at room temperature.
