Description

A simple recipe for making a satisfying, cheesy stromboli.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup sliced cooked ham
  • 1/4 cup sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced salami
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil.
  3. Layer the mozzarella, provolone, pepperoni, ham, and salami evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam closed. Tuck the ends under.
  5. Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush the top of the roll with the beaten egg. Sprinkle with dried oregano.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let the stromboli cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
