Description
A creamy, cheesy dip featuring the flavor of jalapeno poppers, perfect for serving at gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
- 1/2 cup chopped pickled jalapeno peppers, drained
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onion
- 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked bacon, drained jalapenos, and green onion. Mix well to distribute ingredients evenly.
- Spread the mixture into a small, oven-safe baking dish (about 1.5 quarts).
- Sprinkle the Monterey Jack cheese over the top.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the top cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving with tortilla chips or crackers.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, leave some seeds in the jalapenos.
- You can prepare the dip mixture up to one day ahead and store it covered in the refrigerator. Add the topping cheese just before baking.
