Description
A quick recipe for steak served over noodles coated in a rich garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sirloin steak, sliced thin
- 8 ounces dried ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Season the sliced steak generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook quickly until browned, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
- While the sauce simmers, cook the ramen noodles according to package directions until tender. Drain the noodles well.
- Add the drained noodles directly into the skillet with the sauce. Toss continuously until the noodles are fully coated.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet and toss briefly to reheat.
- Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions.
Notes
- You can substitute sirloin with ribeye or flank steak.
- For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Cook the steak in batches if your skillet is small to ensure proper searing.
