Description

A quick recipe for steak served over noodles coated in a rich garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, sliced thin
  • 8 ounces dried ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the sliced steak generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook quickly until browned, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
  5. While the sauce simmers, cook the ramen noodles according to package directions until tender. Drain the noodles well.
  6. Add the drained noodles directly into the skillet with the sauce. Toss continuously until the noodles are fully coated.
  7. Return the cooked steak to the skillet and toss briefly to reheat.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

  • You can substitute sirloin with ribeye or flank steak.
  • For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
