Description

A simple recipe for a sweet and savory glazed ham perfect for holiday meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-10 lb) bone-in fully cooked ham
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place the ham cut-side down in a roasting pan.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and cinnamon to make the glaze.
  4. Brush half of the glaze mixture evenly over the surface of the ham.
  5. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or about 15 minutes per pound.
  6. Remove the ham from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze.
  7. Return the ham to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • If you prefer a crispier glaze, increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for the last 10 minutes of cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness accurately.
