Instant Pot Brown Jasmine Rice

Description

Cook fluffy brown jasmine rice quickly using an electric pressure cooker.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown jasmine rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the brown jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Place the rinsed rice, water, and salt into the inner pot of the Instant Pot.
  3. Secure the lid and set the vent to the sealing position.
  4. Select the Pressure Cook setting (Manual or Pressure Cook) and set the time for 10 minutes on High Pressure.
  5. When the cooking cycle finishes, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes.
  6. After 10 minutes, carefully move the vent to the venting position to release any remaining pressure.
  7. Open the lid and fluff the rice gently with a fork.

Notes

  • For softer rice, increase the water to 1 1/4 cups.
  • You can substitute water with low-sodium broth for added flavor.
