A simple recipe for rich matcha hot chocolate using only four ingredients.

- 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup good quality white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm, but not boiling.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the matcha powder and sugar together until combined.
- Slowly whisk about 1/4 cup of the warm milk into the matcha and sugar mixture until a smooth paste forms.
- Pour the matcha paste back into the saucepan with the remaining warm milk. Whisk constantly until fully incorporated.
- Add the white chocolate chips to the saucepan. Continue stirring over low heat until the chocolate is completely melted and the drink is smooth. Do not boil.
- Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to your preferred sweetness level.
- For a frothier drink, use an immersion blender or whisk vigorously just before serving.
