  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, alternating with the milk, mixing on low speed until smooth.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
  6. If the frosting is too thick, add a little more milk, one teaspoon at a time. If it is too thin, add a little more powdered sugar.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
  • You can substitute heavy cream for milk for a thicker frosting.
