Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, melted butter, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the flour and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
