Ingredients
Scale
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices bread, cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.

- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and bacon.
- Cover the dish with foil and let it stand for 15 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the liquid.
- Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute Gruyere cheese for cheddar for a different flavor profile.
- Use day-old bread for better absorption of the egg mixture.
